Learn how to decorate these adorable treats with the following simple steps.
Ingredients:
- Your preferred cupcake recipe
- I used the Betty Crocker Super Moist Yellow Cake Mix and added a 3.4 ounce pack of Jell-O vanilla pudding to my batter to elevate the vanilla flavor and make it taste more homemade.
- White whipped Pillsbury frosting
- Icing spatula
- Jet-Puffed marshmallows
- Black and orange edible markers
- I ordered a set of markers with edible ink from Amazon
- M&Ms
- Black writer icing
- I purchased my black writer icing from Target. There are also plenty of options on Amazon.
Instructions:
- Follow the instructions of your preferred cake mix and wait at least 25 minutes for your cupcakes to cool.
- Using your icing spatula, take a dollop of icing and spread it in a circular motion around the top of your cupcake.
- With the black edible marker, draw two small dots on your marshmallow for the eyes of your snowman and five black dots closer to the bottom of your marshmallow for the mouth.
- With your orange edible marker, draw a small triangle for the nose of your snowman in the middle of your marshmallow (between the eyes and mouth).
- Place your marshmallow near the back of your frosted cupcake. You want to leave room for the M&M scarf and snowman arms.
- Take two of the same color M&Ms and place them vertically in line with the marshmallow.
- Take your black writers icing to pipe arms for your snowman.
- I piped two diagonal lines (in opposite directions but connected) for each arm and drew an arrow at the bottom of the second diagonal line for the fingers.
- Enjoy your festive treat!
